Ingredients:
– 1 bone-in ham (check for no added high FODMAP ingredients like honey or garlic)
– 1/2 cup maple syrup
– 1/4 cup brown sugar
– 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
– 1 tablespoon low FODMAP Worcestershire sauce
– 1 teaspoon ground cloves
– 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
2. Place the ham in a roasting pan, and score the surface in a diamond pattern with a sharp knife, making cuts about 1/4 inch deep.
3. In a small saucepan, combine the maple syrup, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, ground cloves, and ground cinnamon. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is smooth, about 5 minutes.
4. Brush the glaze over the surface of the ham, making sure to get it into the scored cuts.
5. Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake for about 1 hour, or until heated through.
6. Remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C). Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the glaze is caramelized and bubbly.
7. Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
