Ingredients:
- 1 pound extra lean ground beef
- 1 small green onion (green tops only), finely chopped
- ½ cup gluten-free bread crumbs
- ⅓ cup non-dairy milk (such as almond or rice milk)
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (while it is considered low fodmap, ensure it’s suitable for your tolerance)
- 1 ½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (ensure it’s garlic and onion-free)
- 1 ½ teaspoons Italian seasoning
- ¾ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic-infused oil
- 1 dash hot pepper sauce, or to taste
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Place ground beef, green onion tops, gluten-free bread crumbs, lactose-free milk, Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and garlic-infused oil into a large bowl. Mix until evenly combined.
- Shape the mixture into 12 meatballs and place them onto a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven until no longer pink in the center, 20 to 25 minutes.
NOTE: Using almond flour instead of bread crumbs will make this recipe keto friendly also.
